Ian
McNair. Executive
Chairman B Econ Msc FMRS QPMR. Ian McNair was CEO of McNair Anderson (AGB MCNair
from 1980) research group for 20 years until 1985. Ian was instrumental in setting
up McNair radio and TV audience surveys and print readership studies. He was Chairman
of McNair Surveys NZ Ltd until 1994. Ian established Quadrant Research with three
other partners, and was CEO of that organisation until 2001.
Ian was one of the most highly regarded researchers in Australia. He was a Fellow of the Market Research Society of Australia, the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Marketing Institute, a past Chairman and Secretary of the Market Research Society and Councillor of the Australian Marketing Institute, a member of the Australian Institute of Political Science, the Institute of Public Affairs, the World Association of Public Opinion Research and the European Society of Marketing and Opinion Research (ESOMAR).
Sadly, Ian passed away on 30th October 2007. He will be greatly missed.
Matt
Balogh. (BA
Hons, MA Hons, Grad. Dip. Strategic Marketing) Matt has 21 years experience
in market research including nearly a decade as Group Marketing Services Manager
at News Ltd. Matt
was General Manager of Quadrant Research before establishing Ingenuity Research.
His vast experience in consumer and media research brings him into great demand
with many blue chip Australian organisations. Matt's specialties include social
and media research, as well as health, safety and employee research, and his
Masters thesis was in Political Opinion Polling.
Matt
Balogh is a member of the Australian Market and Social Research Society NSW
Division Executive Committee and the Best Practice trainer for AMSRS in NSW.
In September 2006 Matt Balogh won the Tony Wheeler Best Paper Award at the Australian
Market And Social Research Conference.

Leanne
Smith. Leanne
recently joined McNair Ingenuity Research adding a wealth of experience to our
research and client service team. Leanne was previously Group Marketing Strategist
at News Limited. Leanne was responsible for commissioning and managing major
national research projects, developing senior management presentations and generating
business-focussed reports across many facets of marketing and business development.
Prior to News Limited, Leanne worked for HBJ (Educational Publishers) as a Marketing
Assistant, developing strategies and implementing marketing programs with schools.
Leanne is a graduate of Sydney University (B.Ed), has a Graduate Diploma in
Strategic Marketing and is a qualified Trainer. Leanne has been a member of
the MRSA for the past 12 years.
Angela
Brooks . (BSc
Hons, MA Psych) spent two years with Roy Morgan International where she was
responsible for co-ordinating advertising products globally and oversaw all
client relations with advertising agencies and magazine publishers. She was
previously General Manager - Publishing at Pacific Publications, the magazine
division of the Seven Network and at ACP where she was responsible for the strategic
direction and operational activity for all media products. Angela's research
experience covers qualitative design, group and individual interviewing, on-line
surveys, questionnaire design, quantitative analysis and interpretation.
Christian
Geilen. Christian
is a graduate of the University of Cooperative Education, Baden Wuertenberg (near
Stuttgart) in Business Economics, majoring in Trade and Marketing. Christian is
also certified as a counsellor for students on work experience, and speaks German
and Spanish. Christian worked as a marketing assistant at Ford in both Munich
and Palmela in Portugal, and has done consulting and research work in the software
industry. Christian joined McNair Ingenuity in April 2002 on an International
graduate work experience programme, and has now become addicted to both Australia
and the company. While Christian gives a strong analytical force to our consulting
team, he is also involved in interviewing in German for us.
Melissa
Morgan. Melissa
has been in Market Research for seven years, with a background in hospitality
and accounts. Melissa oversees the operational side of the organisation, ensuring
that the data collection processes and analysis are second-to-none. Melissa’s
exceptional eye for detail and analytical skills are an asset to any survey.
Ed
Vance. Ed
is one of the most experienced survey analysts in Australia, with over 17
years experience in the field, starting in the coding and editing area in the
late 1980s. Ed conducts the sample management for CATI, CATI script specifications,
tabulation specifications and advanced analysis for McNair Ingenuity Research.
While his specialist software is SurveyCraft, a market research product of SPSS
used for CATI and tabulations, he has, however, worked in other research tools
such as EASY, MediaStar, Espri, Tabgen and SPSS. He has an enormous amount of
experience in data management and importing and exporting data for research
companies around the world.
Fiona
Meyer . Fiona
joined McNair Ingenuity Research as Coding Manager in 2003. Fiona's duties consist
of managing the Coding and Data Entry Department. Fiona possesses thorough knowledge
of coding principles and conventions, and has a working knowledge of SurveyCraft,
used for collating data and tabulations. Prior to McNair Ingenuity Research,
Fiona worked for NCS Pearson as Supervisor of Data Entry and Coding. Fiona has
a solid background in accounting and business management through past family
business.
Aimee
Whiting.
Aimee has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from
Macquarie University majoring in Marketing and has commenced post graduate study
in Policy and Social Research with impressive results. Prior to joining McNair
Ingenuity Research, Aimee worked in Sales and Marketing at a 5-star hotel where
she assisted in the implementation of many marketing promotions and campaigns
and composed the monthly corporate e-newsletter. She is also a dedicated member
of Toastmasters.
Kym
Hoffmann . Kym
is responsible for questionnaire design. Kym has been in market research for
more than six years, coming from a medical document design background, including
overseeing a number of programs at the New Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
Her outstanding questionnaires make participating in McNair Ingenuity’s surveys
fun and easy.
